DAY 01 : PANGKALAN BUN – RIVER CRUISE – ON BOAT Upon arrival at Pangkalan Bun airport, you will be picked up by our local staff and take you to Kumai and board on boat.The boat is a traditional wooden boat called “Klotok “ about12 m by 2,5 m with a roof which forms the upper deck where you can view te rain forest as it glides by. The guide team are includes the boatman,a cook,and expert guide. In the afternoon observe proboscis monkey (Nasalis Larvatus ) long tail macaque ( Macaca Fascicularis ),Silver Langur and Perhaps wild orangutan along way up the river . Lunch will be provided on boat, Dinner and overnight on the house boat  


DAY 02 : PONDOK TANGGUI – CAMP LEAKEY After breakfast board on boat up river and visit Pondok Tanggui see feeding time at 09 am then continue up to Camp Leakey the oldest rehabilitation centre for orphane orangutan and was established in 1971 by Dr.Birute Galdikas and Rod Brindamour. On the way you may see wild orangutan,gibbon, wild bore, macaques, proboscis monkeys and some birds. Then walk to feeding station around 1 km. It is best time to see orangutan encounter and you may take picture as much as you like. Your boat slow down to the river and anker at crock lake. Over night on boat  


DAY 03 : HOUSE BOAT-TREKING FULL DAY After breakfast you will have time to explore the jungle and try to find other animal around the forest. Then back to the boat for lunch . Then your boat slow down to explore some kind of Monkey such as Proboscis Monkey., Long tail macaque and fire fly around the nipa palm at night. Overnight on boat  


DAY 04 : NATIONAL PARK – PANGKALANBUN – BANJARMASIN Early morning boating down to Kumai viallge to catch the flight to Banjarmasin, Arrival at Syamsudinor airport, then having lunch on local restaurant, check in hotel. Afternoon join the canal and visit Alalak Island by s low motor boat. 


DAY 05 : BANJARMASIN -LOKSADO Morning drive to Loksado town and walk 4hours trekking through the primary forest on Meratus mountainous, spend the night at communal house of Dayak Tribe or in tents (depends on the client’s interest and the weather)  


DAY 06 : FULL DAY TREKKING ON MERATUS MOUNTS Full day trekking through the forest again to reach the other village. Spend the night at the resort.  


DAY 07 : LOKSADO – BANJARMASIN Walking down from the village to Loksado Town, passing through the secondary forest and swinging bridges. Get the unforgettable experience of white water bamboo raft for 3 hrs, let the raft man steer the bamboo raft as you may enjoy the scenery along the Amandit River. Driving back to Banjarmasin at the afternoon,  arrival at night, spend the night hotel.  


DAY 08: FLOATING MARKET – AIRPORT Morning tour by a slow motor boat visiting lokbaintan floating market, back to hotel for breakfast then check out hotel, drive to airport for the next flight. Tour Ends

Day 01 ARRIVAL IN PANGKALAN BUN-KUMAI VILLAGE - TANJUNG PUTING

NATIONAL PARK (L,D)
Arrive at Pangkalan Bun airport and directly transfer to Kumai village for boarding the houseboat
to Tanjung Puting National Park. The houseboat is a traditional wooden river boat with roof
forms the upper deck where you can view the rainforest as it glides by. The boat crew including
the boatman, cook and expert guide. In the peaceful afternoon, we will slowly explore the quiet
river by the houseboat while observing the primates along the riverside. Overnight and dining on
houseboat, with facilities; thin mattress, pillow, fine meals, bottled "mineral" water, mosquito net,
kitchen, and simple toilet available on boat besides the familiar helpful guides and boatmen.

Day 02 TANJUNG PUTING NATIONAL PARK (B,L,D)
After breakfast, we will be cruising upward the creek to Camp Leakey where the older
orangutans are reintroduced into the rainforest. At this station, we will explore the story of first
orangutan project in the world, we will then trekking to the feeding station to see rehabilitated
orangutans are given additional foods. Afterwards, we will sail down the river while exploring the
nature and wildlife on riverside. In the peaceful evening, we can do night trekking to explore
wildlife, such as; tarantula, sleeping birds, frogs, mousedeers, insects, etc. Breakfast, lunch,
dinner, and staying overnight at the houseboat.

Day 03 TANJUNG PUTING NATIONAL PARK (B,L,D)
Breakfast at houseboat while taking the morning river safari to observe river ecology and wildlife
along the riverside. En route, we will stop at Pondok Tanggui Feeding Station to watch rangers
feed orangutans. Lunch will be served on boat while sighting wild animal activities along the
riverside. Next, we will depart to Tanjung Harapan Feeding Station for viewing the feeding
process of orangutans. Afterwards, we will proceed to Tanjung Harapan village for sightseeing
villagers' daily activities. Enjoy the natural river view on the way back and overnight at the
houseboat. Lunch and dinner will be served at the houseboat.

Day 04 TANJUNG PUTING NATIONAL PARK - KUMAI VILLAGE - PANGKALAN BUN (B,L)
After breakfast, we will get the moming safari to explore wildlife on riverside. Afterwards,
proceed to Kumai village to catch the car for driving to Pangkalan Bun for check in to the hotel.

Day 05 PANGKALAN BUN - BALIKPAPAN - SAMARINDA (B)
Breakfast at the hotel and then transfer to the airport to catch your flight to Balikpapan with
transit in Semarang/Surabaya. Arrive in Balikpapan airport and then driving to Samarinda for
check in to the hotel.

Day 06 SAMARINDA - KOTA BANGUN - MUARA MUNTAI (B,L,D)
Breakfast at the hotel and then driving to Kota Bangun to catch the motorized canoe crossing
the Mahakam River to reach Muara Muntai Village. On the way, we will have opportunity to spot
wildlife and people activities on riverside. Arrive at the village and then proceed to check in to
the homestay.

Day 07 MUARA MUNTAI-JEMPANG LAKE - MANCONG - MUARA MUNTAI (B,L,D)
After breakfast, we will proceed to Mancong by motorized canoe crossing the Jempang Lake of
which we will have the opportunity to view plenty of water bird species and fishermen floating
houses as well as the romantic Ohong River where proboscis monkeys, monitor lizards and
other wild animals are hanging around at riverside. In Mancong, we will explore an exotic
longhouse and Benuaq Dayak daily life. Afterwards, return to Muara Muntai to stay overnight at
the homestay.

Day 08 MUARA MUNTAI-KUYUNG-SAMARINDA (B,L,D)
After breakfast, we will explore the exotic of Muara Muntai village with the long wooden bridge
which is made of iron wood linking all the roads and alleys of the hamlet, and then proceed to
Kuyung to catch the car for driving to Tenggarong town to explore the King Collection on the
Museum of Mulawarman and Royal Cemetery of Kutai Kartanegara kingdom. Afterwards,
driving to Samarinda to stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 09 SAMARINDA - PAMPANG VILLAGE - KABO VILLAGE - KUTAI NATIONAL PARK
(B,L,D)
Breakfast at the hotel and then driving to Pampang Village to explore the relocated Dayak
Village to explore the longhouse, carving, and the dailiy life of people. If we are lucky, we will
meet the long eared Dayak woman on this village. We will then continue driving across villages,
rainforest, and mountainous landscape to reach Kabo village for crossing up the river to Prevab
camp of Kutai National Park and then trekking to the jungle to spot wild orangutans, monkeys,
birds, insects, etc. In the peaceful evening, we will have a night trekking for observing nocturnal
animals such as tarantula, insects, birds, and others. Return to the camp for overnight at the
jungle guesthouse.

Day 10 KUTAI NATIONAL PARK - KABO VILLAGE - DELTA SANGATTA - MUARA
WAHAU (B,L,D)
After breakfast, we will be trekking in different path of the jungle to spot more wild orangutans
and other wildlife. Next, return to Kabo Village to catch the car for driving to Kajang Village to
catch the boat for crossing down the river into Delta Sangatta to spot estuarine crocodile,
proboscis monkeys, silvery langurs, monitor lizards, and other wild animals that hang around
the riverside. Afterwards, proceed to Muara Wahau for overnight at the local hotel.

Day 11 MUARA WAHAU - LESAN RIVER-MERABU VILLAGE (B,L,D)
After breakfast, we will be driving to Miau Baru Village to explore the Kayan Dayak settlement
such as longhouse, totem pole, carving, etc. We will then continue driving across rainforest,
palm oil plantation, and mountainous landscape to reach Merabu village. We can make stops to
explore some interesting spots on the road. In the afternoon, we can cross upward the jungle
river to explore the wildlife on rainforest and wildlife on riverside such as proboscis monkeys,
gibbons, species of birds such as hornbills and kingfishers. Lunch, dinner, and staying overnight
at the homestay of the village.

Day 12 MERABU VILLAGE - BELOYOT CAVE-NYADENG LAKE (B,L,D)
After breakfast, we will trek through rainforest for about 2 hours to visit the ancient cave of
prehistoric rock art that can be seen from the exotic handprints and paintings. During our trek,
we may have opportunity to spot or hearing the sounds of hornbills, gibbons, macaques, insects,
etc. Next, proceed to the village for taking lunch and then continue by getting the boat crossing
the Lesan River into Nyadeng jetty to start our trekking into the beautiful clearwater lake for
swimming with fish and setting our campsite. Lunch will be served at the homestay, dinner and
staying overnight at the camp on the lakeside.

Day 13 NYADENG LAKE - KETEPU HILL - MERABU VILLAGE - BERAU (B,L,D)
Early morning, we will trek up the Ketepu hill into the peak and watching the fantastic view of the
misty Sangkulirang karst range and rainforest from above. We will have opportunity to spot
magnificent hornbills and other bird species flying around the karst. We will then trekking down
to the camp and refresh your body by swimming in the clearwater lake. Next, trekking down to
Nyadeng jetty to catch our boat crossing down the river back to Merabu Village. Afterwards,
driving to Berau for check in to the hotel.

Day 14 BERAU - MARATUA PRATASABA RESORT (B)
Breakfast at hotel and then transfer to the port to catch the regular public fast-boat to Maratua
Island for check in to Pratasaba Resort. Free at your own leisure.

Day 15 MARATUA - SANGALAKI-KAKABAN-MARATUA PRATASABA RESORT (B,L)
After breakfast, we will take the boat for snorkeling to Sangalaki Island, which is called the
capital of Manta Ray, where there are many types of exotic fish such as blankets, napoleons,
purple seahorses, tunicates, dwarf scorpion fish, and not to forget the Coral Sea, which still
remains intact. Sangalaki is an attractive dive destination and known for the large stripe rugs
that come here to feed on plankton. The Mantas show is especially visible in the northern part of
the Sangalaki Islands, and they come from all directions. Blankets are often seen on the surface,
but they are also easy to see if we submerge. You can swim observing the elegant movement of
this animal, which has a wingspan of more than two meters. Sangalaki has reefs to practice
diving from 4 to 40 meters deep and a set of ridges with sandy bottom. Coral gorgonians and
reef fish are part of the beauty of diving in Sangalaki along with shipwrecks at the bottom of the
sea. The fish that can be found near Sangalaki are scorpions, bocagrandes, mandarin fish,
pejesapos and eel slats.
Next, proceed to snorkeling in the island of Kakaban, which is known for its inner lake flanked
by mangroves a little above sea level. The lake is about 17 meters deep in brackish water with a
background of green algae and diverse marine life with four types of jellyfish, snakes and yellow,
orange and purple clams. Afterwards, retum to Maratua to stay overnight at the resort.

Day 16 MARATUA ISLAND FULL DAY RELAXING (B)
Breakfast at the resort and free at your own leisure. You can manage your own leisure by
yourselves such as; sunbathing, snorkeling around the resort, or exploring the villagers' daily life.

Park National of Gunung Palung


National Park of Gunung Palung (TNGP) is one of the most comprehensive national parks among national parks in Indonesia.  located in Ketapang and North Kayong Regency, West Kalimantan Province. This national park is located at an altitude of 900-1116 meters above sea level and was inaugurated on March 24, 1990.

Gunung Palung National Park has an area of ​​approximately 90,000 hectares and stretches from Matan Hilir District of North Sukadana, Simpang Downstream, Nanga Tayap and Sandai. Here are some of the biodiversity found in Gunung Palung National Park / GPNP:
- Ecosystem: swamp forest, peat swamp, freshwater swamp forest, mapah tropical forests, mangrove forests, mountain forests
- Flora: jelutung, ramin, resins, island, varnish, ironwood, mangrove, kendeka and various medicinal plants. There is unique flora that is the black orchid that can be seen in the Matan River and usually only bloom for 5-6 days in February-April each year.
- Fauna: some primates (orangutans, proboscis monkeys, macaques, gibbons, sailor), 200 species of birds, bears, lemurs, deer, hare, ground squirrel striped four, partridge, rhinoceros hornbill, hornbill ivory, turtle ivory, loggerhead, Siamese crocodiles and squirrels walnuts.

This region is also a conservation area for orangutan in Indonesia and a habitat for 10% of orangutan populations living in the world, or about 2,200 orang utan. To visit GPNP preferably best periode is between the months of June to September each year.

In addition to the existing biodiversity in the park, you can also enjoy other attractions that exist GPNP this region, including:
- Dato Island Beach and Mount Hole Tedong: a marine tourism interest for you to visit.
- Gunung Palung National Park located at a height of 1,116 meters above sea level and the mountain with an altitude of 1,050 meters above sea level: here you can enjoy hiking, waterfalls, flora and fauna observation and camping.
-  a research center located on the west side of the foot of Mount Palung and was established in 1985 with research station facilities, and library researchers .

- Kampung Baru: an observation area bekantan

- Sungai Matan and Simpang Rivers: you can along the river while observing archaeological sites and observing wildlife.

Do not worry about getting lost in this park because there will be a tour guide to accompany you to explore the national park.

Access transport
The first path: from the city of Pontianak you can go Ketapang using aircraft with a travel time of approximately 2.5 hours or using the Express Boat takes about 6 hours. Then from Ketapang you can move on to the Gulf of Melano using minibus takes about 2 hours. Teluk Melano later on you will be heading to GPNP using Long Boat takes about 6 hours.

The second track: using the Express Boat from Pontianak to the Gulf Trunk takes about 4 hours. From Trunk Bay Teluk Melano proceed to use the minibus takes about 1 hour and then continued to use Long Boat towards GPNP takes about 6 hours.


Gunung Palung National Park
Duration 07 Days/06 Nights
Day 1 :  Pontianak
Meeting service at the airport, transfer to your hotel. Dinner is provided in local restaurant.

Day 2 :  Pontianak, Ketapang, Telok Melane  
Depart in the morning by flight to Ketapang, then on to Teluk Melano by coach.  Stay overnight at a simple accommodation.

Day 3 :  Telok Melane, Semanjak, Gunung Palung National Park
Depart to Semanjak by motorboat, then by rowing boat along meandering river to Gn. Palung National Park. Stay at the base camp. ( Semanjak to the site may take approx. a nine-hour boat trip, depending on river condition)

Day 4 :  Gunung Palung National Park 
Jungle trekking, bird watching, seeing different types of ecosystem with different flora and fauna (see  orang utans if we are lucky)

Day 5 :  Gunung Palung National Park, Telok Melano
Depart early morning via same route to Telok Melano. (the returning journey will be faster following the stream). Late afternoon, take a long boat to Kampung Baru to see proboscis monkeys soaring on trees by the river. Stay overnight at Telok Melano.

Day 6 :  Telok Melano, Pontianak

Take an express boat to return to Pontianak. Transfer to hotel.
